FreeQRGen ("we", "us", or "our") operates https://freeqrgen.app ("Site"). This page describes what data we collect and how we use it.

What We Collect

Very little. We do not use analytics, tracking pixels, or advertising scripts of any kind, and we do not collect your name, email address, or an IP-based profile. QR codes are built entirely in your browser.

When you download or copy a QR code, we send ourselves a short notification email containing:

• The type of QR code (for example URL, WiFi, or contact card).
• For link QR codes only (websites, app store pages, and social profiles), the full link it points to.
• Whether it was downloaded or copied, and when.

WiFi network names and passwords, contact card details, and plain-text QR content are never sent — for those we only learn the type. The notification does not include your IP address, location, or any other information about you. These emails are delivered through Resend, our email provider.

Our hosting provider may keep standard server request logs (such as IP address and browser user agent) for security and reliability purposes, as any web host does. We do not use those logs to build profiles of visitors.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with third parties other than the service providers named above.

Cookies

We use one first-party cookie (colorScheme) to store your light/dark mode preference. We set no third-party or tracking cookies. You can clear cookies at any time through your browser settings.

Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised effective date.
